A new tool from the U.S. Department of Education to easily estimate the FAFSA EFC!

In order to begin exploring your financial aid options and get an early start on the financial aid process, the FAFSAforcaster allows you and your family to easily estimate federal financial aid, prior to completing the FAFSA. This new service still requires much of the information that the FAFSA asks for (i.e., tax documents, parent's financial information, etc.) but to a lesser degree.

Students considering furthering their education beyond high school can use this free tool to:

• Calculate their eligibility for federal financial aid, including grants
• Reduce the time it will take to complete the FAFSA, which qualifies students for all federal financial aid

When you're ready to apply for aid, you can easily transition from FAFSAforcaster to the federal FAFSA application. Much of the information that you enter in the FAFSAforcaster will populate your online FAFSA application, making the experience of applying for federal student aid a lot easier.
